Between the lines
Below are two websites that I highly recommend.
Kobinet-Nachrichten is a group of volunteer editors with and without disabilities who have been working hard since 2002 to provide objective yet accessible reporting on people with disabilities and everything related to them. The spectrum covers political and social aspects of daily life and current events, as well as trivial and entertaining topics.
I have been using the site for years as an additional source of information, not only because I find the editorial work professionally convincing, but above all because many of the topics covered here are not given sufficient attention in the “conventional” press.
kobinet Nachrichten – Daily news on disability policy
ROLLINGPLANET is currently the largest online magazine in the disability scene. (Although it also explicitly addresses seniors in general.)
The central goal of the online editorial team is to confidently communicate aspects of social interaction between people with and without disabilities. The focus is less on teaching ideological principles and more on providing a tangible perception of issues relevant to everyday life. In this sense, ROLLINGPLANET sees itself as “excited about life, sometimes critical, cheeky, and cynical—but hopefully never malicious.”
In any case, it's both informative and funny!
Take a look for yourself—it's worth it...
